We NEED to Speak out!!!

Roland and I recently watched this documentary and I was shocked. I never took the time to understand the national debt and how it will personally affect our generation and our children. This documentary broke down the problem in an understandable, and comprehensive non-partisan manner. It doesn't matter what political party we belong to this is a crisis that must be solved by both sides of 'the aisle.' Our nation's debt is growing at such an exponential rate as to threaten our national security equal to the devastation a nuclear bomb would do. When we look through history great civilizations fell due to inside problems; many of those great civilizations fell, because of their DEBT.

Camping at Hope Valley

Recently, the camping bug bit Roland, so he had to get out into the woods for some respite. After work one Friday he drove home to help pack the car and the kids and head out in search of a campsite near water. We hit the jackpot when we found this secluded spot in Hope Valley next to Scott's lake. We arrived just in time to set up camp and take in a little hike before sunset. Maple got so dirty it was even up her nose as you can tell by her "Quasimodo" photo. I used the relaxing time near the campfire to perfect the art of S'more'ing. Overall our family jaunt to the woods was a camping success and we look forward to the next getaway.

We're Back

I can not believe it has been almost three years already. Many wonderful things have happened since we started this blog; too many to recount. Some quick highlights of the past three years are: graduating, moving to Dayton, Nevada, two fun kids, and among the many fun trips we enjoyed was our expedition with Grandma and Maple to Europe. I hope to be diligent in maintaining this blog and keeping up with all our friends/family, so see ya in another three years. . . just joking!
